The Difference Between a Colonic Colon Cleanse and an Enema
A lot of people mistake enemas for colonic colon cleansing and rightfully so since a lot of people do tell them that to clean out your colons, you need to flush out all the dirt that is found in your intestinal tract which is what these two do. The difference between the two however is how well each one cleans out your colons and how much of your colon is cleansed with each method. These two methods essentially uses the same technique for cleaning out your colons, which is to introduce water into a person’s colon via the rectum and having this water carry out the dirt in the colon back out of the rectum. There are some distinct differences in these two however, despite their similarities. Here are some of them:
-
When you colon cleanse the colonic way, you are cleaning out the entire colon while an enema basically cleans out the toxins and dirt from the lower part of the colon.
-
When you do an enema, you basically do a single water infusion through your rectum while the colonic method to colon cleanse involves multiple water infusions to clean out the entire colon.
-
When you want to colon cleanse with the use of a colonic, you will need to have a professional do this for you. They are called colon hydrotherapists and are trained to administer colonics to patients safely with the use of professional equipment. Enemas can be done by the person himself at home with the use of enema kits.
